What's been happening?

What's been happening in the world of the Stratford Shakespeare Festival?

On the heels of the wonderful news that Christopher Plummer has been nominated for an Oscar, came the very sad news that Stratford alum Lindsay Thomas (right), age 31, lost her battle with lung cancer. It was all the more tragic, since the bright actress-singer-dancer was a non-smoker.

General Manager Antoni Cimolino appeared on TVO's The Agenda, speaking about the relevancy of Shakespeare in today's world, and Artistic Director Des McAnuff is in the media spotlight, with interviews on CBC Radio 1, a spot on Bravo! (Great Canadian Biographies. Des McAnuff: A Life for All Stages, airing Feb 12 at 7pm), and an article in Macleans.ca.

Stay tuned for more news...
